Host a NABS Professional Development Workshop

With the number of different generations within the workplace and the many rapid changes we face-both as individuals and corporations-it's important to understand the personal strengths and challenges of your employees.

NABS offers a number of topical workshops to help you sustain and retain a cohesive and engaged workforce. Workshops are offered for both staff and management, or a combination of both. One-hour "lunch and learns" or more in-depth half-day presentations (ideal for management) are available. Generally, we hold workshops right in your workplace. However, if space is an issue, we may be able to host them in our boardroom.

To book your workshop or for further information, please contact Amanda Fearon, Project Coordinator at 416-962-0446, ext 232 or amandaf@nabs.org

Corporate Endorsement

"We all may have different causes that hold a special place in our hearts, but there is only one that supports our industry, our community, our co-workers, our friends, and our future. And that is NABS. We are all very lucky to work in such a creative, dynamic business and have the responsibility to share our good fortune with others. Being involved with NABS does not replace supporting and championing other personal passions. I just believe strongly that we can all make a space to include NABS in our philanthropic efforts."

Bruce Neve
President, Mediaedge:cia Canada

Where do the funds come from?

NABS raises 100% of its funding through support of individuals, organizations and associations from the communications and related industries, and receives NO government support.

Making a Difference

When he applied to NABS, he was a 34-year-old married marketing manager with a young son. He had been unemployed for almost three years. His wife’s salary wasn’t enough to cover all the family’s expenses and they had used up all their savings and RRSPs.

NABS arranged financial assistance to help the family with essential needs. Personal, financial and career counseling enabled them to lower expenses and helped him find employment within three months.

The most common question I usually get in heading up NABS is – ‘I guess you’re a lot busier these days?’ The short answer is yes – 2009 was our busiest ever in terms of helping industry friends and their families – through our confidential counselling and short-term financial assistance programs.
