Associations
NABS partners with many industry associations who are looking to ‘Add value’ to their members. It is also a cost-effective way to promote NABS message to a large group of industry professionals, since it can often be incorporated into existing events or promotional information (newsletters, emails, website) at no additional cost to the association.
Similar to our partnerships with companies, NABS understands that every association has it’s own culture and annual business objectives. While NABS can provide a checklist of current programs to help your association get involved with us, we also understand that sometimes we need to develop an idea that works specifically for your group - often that is turnkey and requires a minimum of association involvement.

HUMAN RESOURCES SUPPORT - NABS staff and our professional counsellors can offer confidential assistance and advice for your membership in dealing with personal and work-related issues and, in some cases, can develop turnkey ‘WORKSHOPS’ that can be offered to the membership as part of your professional development or training plan.

- THE PAUL MULVIHILL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION - Joint presentation of the ‘PAUL MULVIHILL/NABS HUMANITARIAN AWARD’.
- THE TELEVISION BUREAU OF CANADA - Donation of Speakers’ fees from annual conference to the ‘PAUL MULVIHILL/NABS HUMANITARIAN AWARD’ charitable fund.
How can your Association help?
- Make NABS your annual CHARITY OF CHOICE.
- Select one or more ANNUAL EVENT (conferences, annual meetings, seminars) to do a fundraising program. NABS can also attend meetings to conduct fundraising draws (50/50 or prize draws).
- CONTRIBUTE a % or flat fee of event registrations towards NABS (tax receipts may be offered for contributions).
- SPONSOR a NABS event or program and/or include NABS as a SPONSOR at one of your upcoming events.
- Develop a new PARTNERSHIP program that fits with your association objectives.
- CONTRIBUTE a % or flat donation towards NABS PAYROLL DEDUCTION PROGRAM. Associations can also MATCH employee deductions towards this program as well. NABS offers 100% tax receipts for both association and individual contributions). *For more information - see the section ‘PAYROLL DEDUCTION’.
- SPONSOR a NABS event or program.
- Develop a new PARTNERSHIP program that fits with your association objectives.
- Provide NABS an opportunity to make a PRESENTATION at one of your internal management or staff meetings.
- Select an internal (volunteer) NABS AMBASSADOR to assist in promoting NABS services and program throughout the year to your membership.
- HOLIDAY DONATION - make a seasonal donation in place of Christmas cards or gifts for suppliers or clients
- UNITED WAY - individuals can pledge a % of their United Way donations to NABS on the reverse side of their pledge form
- IN-KIND DONATIONS - NABS can utilize many services that it currently pays for in our annual operations. Examples include - large format printing, advertising & design, food & beverage products for events, post-production services, photography etc. You can make an association donation for NABS events, contest draws and silent auctions held throughout the year.
